Peace of Mind
10,000 Steps in the Right Direction
Alma Rosa Proprietors Bob and Barb Zorich, along with General Manager Debra Eagle launched the annual Peace of Mind fundraising walk in 2020 to support community services for mental health, as well as research on the causes, treatment and potential cures for anxiety and depression.
Each year, participants gather at the base of Alma Rosa’s 628-acre estate to participate in the 10,000 step, approximately 4.5-mile, walk across the hillside vineyards, and over the last five years, the winery has raised over $955,000 for two charities: One Mind and Mental Wellness Center.
Founded in 1995, One Mind is a leading mental health non-profit that heals lives by direct support for neuropsychiatric brain research. By convening the brightest minds in brain science and advocacy around a collective vision of “Accelerating Brain Health for All,” One Mind is advancing a three-pronged program strategy of accelerating discoveries, improving services, and transforming culture.
Mental Wellness Center has been the leading provider of mental health support to adults, families, and youth in Santa Barbara County for 77 years. The organization instructs in mental health education to nearly 5,000 local students, operates a residential services program and serves individuals and families impacted by mental illness through support groups and social connection programs.
Our next fundraising hike will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Please save the date!
